A Bengaluru woman was in for a pleasant surprise when she booked a cab on Uber to find her team lead as the driver. Describing the experience as a "peak Bengaluru" moment, she explained that her senior signed up as an Uber driver for some entertainment and not for the money.
The woman, who goes by @epicnephrin_e on X, shared a screenshot of the incident being described on WhatsApp.

The post gained more than 22,000 views and left the internet divided, with some people agreeing to be curious about how the cab-aggregator service worked, others wondering how people in Bengaluru have so much free time, and a few were certain that the incident was made up.
But this isn't the only time that a senior corporate professional signed up for a delivery service out of curiosity or to kill boredom. Bengaluru witnessed a similar incident unfold in May 2023 when a Rapido passenger discovered that her driver was a corporate manager at "one of the big companies".
College student Shruti Baswa wrote on X: “In my peak Bangalore moment today, the Rapido guy turned out to be a corporate manager in one of the big companies, who likes to help people reach their destination in a reasonable amount. I repeat, anything is possible in Bangalore.”

The bike taxi service responded to Baswa's post and thanked her.
