An engineer based in Gurgaon has sparked widespread discussion online after he turned down a job offer of Rs 35 LPA. Sharing on X, Gaurav Sharma wrote he politely rejected the offer because the job role required him to relocate to Bengaluru.

“I recently got a job offer of Rs. 35 LPA in Bangalore,” Sharma wrote in his X post.

“The package was good and the company was great, but the position demanded me to relocate,” he added.

The techie explained that he was happy with the package and the reputable company. However, he never wanted to move to Bengaluru, so he had to turn down the offer. Sharma did not reveal the exact reason behind his decision. “I politely rejected the offer, explaining that I’ll never move to Bangalore.”

The post quickly gained attention, with users reacting differently to why he avoids Bengaluru.

One user wrote, “I do freelancing. I never take projects from Gurgaon, Haryana, and Noida because they don't pay as per the agreement. I don't have to fight for payment in Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Telangana, Chennai. Hope you'll be there and correct them.”

Another user asked, “Why did you attend the interview and make them get approval for your salary, if you knew you would never relocate to Bangalore? This troubles me.”

A third X user added, “es bhai, Bengaluru is worst to be honest, WEATHER they brag about is slowly becoming hot, Bengalurians treat North Indian migrants like useless, food is not that great, greedy landlords and house owners. Hyderabad is better in South India in my opinion.”
