Unlike the battles of Panipat and Haldighati, the "Battle of Baghpat" will not grace any history book, but the heroes who waged it continue to be remembered and celebrated... by X. On Sunday, social media users were celebrating the fourth anniversary of the “Battle of Baghpat” that had broken out in Uttar Pradesh.
The viral skirmish of 2021 involved two rival groups of chaat vendors in Baghpat who fought over the customer pull at their snack booths. One ran the outlet Shiv Chaat Bhandar while the other owned the food stall named Nav Durga Chaat Bhandar.
The video of the heated brawl has resurfaced on social media showing people hitting each other with lightsaber toys, rods, and sticks in the middle of the road as bystanders watch in disbelief.

The drama was nothing short of a cliche, 90s Bollywood fight sequence and even featured a standout factor--was a man wearing a kurta with wild henna-coloured hair. In the viral video, the man (identified as Harinder but famously known as "Chacha") was seen pinning down his enemies during the chaos. His unique hairstyle earned him the name “Einstein Chacha (uncle)” and “Virus” from the film 3 Idiots.

According to reports, the entire skirmish was recorded by a local journalist who got injured in the commotion at the Atithi Bhawan street.
Even though it's been four years, social media users haven't been able to stop taking the mickey out of it. "We need a Wikipedia page on 'Battle of Baghpat' with all key events leading to the big battle," X user Kurious Kat (@KuriousKat2790) wrote. "I've not seen The Battle of Troy but The Battle of Baghpat. I am gonna tell my kids," commented Mohammad Mohsin (@mohsinjnu).
