In an unexpected turn, Canadian PM Mark Carney and Finland’s President Alexander Stubb discussed Aditya Dhar’s 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar while jogging in Hyde Park, accompanied by their wives, Diana Carney and Suzanne Innes-Stubb.
Stubb shared on X, writing, "No ice-hockey rinks available, so a nice morning run in Hyde Park with Prime Minister [Mark Carney], Diana and Suzanne."
While jogging, Carney asked Stubb, "How was your Insta thing in India?" To which the Finnish President replied, “It was huge after I said that I watched Dhurandhar, and then I realised it’s not a game at all. But yeah.”
Stubb’s mix of amusement and reflection in his comment drew laughter and online traction.

One user wrote, “Dhurandhar is going global, didn't expect the Finnish president to watch this movie.”
Another X user said, “More presence over social media also gives an edge in relationships; leaders understand many Indians are hearing them, and that's how they try to make their image.”
A third user commented, “My dude Carney can easily flex, he needn't see the movie coz he bore witness to Dhurandhar's script unfolding live within his country.”
Another added, “Good. Finally, some influence on them. Feels good seeing people growing.”
The mention refers to Stubb’s recent India visit, during which he shared that his son introduced him to Aditya Dhar’s political espionage thriller Dhurandhar.
