Barack Obama, former President of the United States, drew considerable attention on social media after sharing a short video of his conversation with a woman aged 102. The recording, uploaded on his official account on X, showed a brief but warm exchange. Introducing the video, Obama wrote: “Susan, I hope I look as good as you at 102!”
In the clip, the former president approached the centenarian and greeted her with visible warmth. “Oh, it’s nice to see you,” he said. She responded: “It’s so good to be here and to see such a wonderful person.”
Obama then enquired about the secret behind her appearance and vitality. “Well, you know what, the main thing I wanted to find out is what do you eat so that I can look as good as you in a few years? Huh? How do you… it’s just good genes?” he asked.
Her reply prompted laughter among those nearby. “Them greens. Cornbread,” she said with a smile. A person standing close added: “And the bacon every morning.” Obama laughed and responded: “I’m sure that’s what the doctor ordered.”

The footage attracted more than 23 million views within days. Users on X left thousands of remarks praising the exchange. One wrote: “This is why Obama remains so loved, he treats everyone with genuine respect.”
Another observed: “She is living proof that joy and good food keep you young.” A further comment read: “Only Obama could make a 102-year-old blush.”
Other viewers said the short clip had brightened their day. One response noted: “This interaction made my day, so much warmth in just a few seconds.”
