What does it take to change the course of a life completely? Many people often ask this when they hear stories of struggle turning into success. Some journeys stand out because of the effort behind them rather than the result alone.

A post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by podcaster Kushal Lodha has gained attention online after it described the journey of a CA named Abhishek R. Vaishya from a modest background to financial success. “He used to sell vegetables at Dadar with his father from age 13-20,” he wrote.

The post further explains how his daily schedule was tightly packed, with work and studies running back-to-back through the day. According to the post, Abhishek would sell vegetables from 4 to 6 AM and then head straight for his CA classes from 7-10 AM. His day didn’t end there. He would continue with his articleship from 10 AM to 9 PM followed by some study time before sleeping by 11PM.

The post also reflects on the conditions in which he lived during this period, “He used to stay in a 1 Room Chawl of 150 sq. ft. with a total of 5 people in his family, and studied there throughout.”

After qualifying as a CA, Abhishek asked his father to stop selling vegetables and retire, marking a major shift in the family’s situation. “He went to Oman, did job for 6 years and then started his businesses,” the post stated.

According to the post, “Today, he owns a total of 5 houses, in India, Dubai and Oman, drives a BMW as well as Mercedes, and has the most popular cloud kitchen business in Oman.”

The podcaster, Kushal Lodha, further shared his personal reaction after meeting him, describing it as a motivating experience. He wrote, “I was so much inspired from his journey, and even more charged up after meeting him.”

The post has drawn a range of reactions online. Some users also highlighted the value of persistence and discipline, while others reflected on how background shapes opportunity in life.

One user reacted by saying, “Children who have grown up on the streets always outsmart the children who are driven in merc or BMWs.” Another comment read, “What an inspiring story.” One more added, “Hard work paves the way.”
