Mumbai, the bustling metropolis that never sleeps, is notorious for its sky-high real estate prices. In a city where renting a home can be a daunting financial endeavour, one Twitter user, recently shed light on a hilarious interaction with her broker. The conversation, posted for all to see on X, showcases an amusing yet unsettling journey through Mumbai's competitive property market.

The X user shared two chat screenshots that unveiled the comical world of real estate negotiations in Mumbai.

The broker eagerly displayed a 2BHK flat and shared dozens of photos with the prospective tenant with an initial price tag of a staggering Rs 80,000 per month. However, there was a silver lining - the price was, according to the broker, negotiable.

The exchange takes an amusing turn when the user responds with a skeptical "Hmm, not very nice." To this, the broker confidently retorts, "Nice, trust me."

A separate screenshot captures the user expressing her concern about the property's proximity to a railway track and the potential noise problem it might entail. The broker's response, albeit reassuring, is notably simple: "Yeh mam, do not tention (take tension), ok," followed by a confident "I'm here."

The sheer absurdity of these exchanges has drawn a multitude of comments from Twitter users. One individual humorously remarked, "Bro, this is so creepy coming at 12 in the night," to which the user defended the broker, saying, "No, he's very paavam (innocent)." Other comments flooded in, with users sharing their own witty observations.

"Every day, he puts pillows on the tracks to muffle the sound,” one user wrote. "Dude just pacified you in two words,” wrote another.

One comment read: "'I'm here,' tell him to pay half the price then." Another read: "Does he cover insurance? Dog also?"

A fifth wrote: "Men using 'trust me' as the blanket cover even for a nuclear fallout situation."

While the outcome of this exchange may remain unknown and the location of the flat undisclosed, the tweet quickly went viral and also highlighted the challenges of finding an affordable flat in the financial capital of the country.
