Essar allegedly tapped phones of ministers: media report

The list includes Suresh Prabhu, Piyush Goyal, Praful Patel, the late Pramod Mahajan, Amar Singh and Amitabh Bachchan.

The Indian Express has reported that the Ruia-owned Essar Group had allegedly tapped phones of ministers, industrialists and bureaucrats for five years between 2001 and 2006. The list includes Suresh Prabhu, Piyush Goyal, Praful Patel, the late Pramod Mahajan, Amar Singh and Amitabh Bachchan.  Former MD of ICICI Bank KV Kamath, Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani and ADAG Chief Anil Mmbani also figured on the list of those whose phones were tapped.Watch video for more...
