Bangalore: Blast near BJP office, at least 13 injured

A LPG blast near the BJP office in Malleshwaram in Bangalore on Wednesday left thirteen people injured including eight policemen. The explosion reportedly took place near a temple just metres away from the BJP headquarters.

A LPG blast near the BJP office in Malleshwaram in Bangalore on Wednesday left thirteen people injured including eight policemen. The explosion reportedly took place near a temple just metres away from the BJP headquarters.

Bangalore Police said that three cars have been damaged in the blast including a police vehicle. The police have ruled out a terror angle. The police added that the cause of the blast in not known yet.

Bangalore Police Commissioner Raghvendra Vora said, "Five civilians have been injured out of which two are seriously injured. This was an explosion. Investigations have begun."

An eyewitness said, "When I came here, the building was almost collapsing. There was fire everywhere. My mother called to tell me that there'sa huge explosion. Something was planted in the two-wheeler. I first heard the explosion. It could be heard even at 4 kms. People were scared."
