United States of America's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) forensic report on Sunanda Pushkar's mysterious death has ruled out the presence of any radioactive substances in her body.

Sunanda, 52, was Congress leader Shashi Tharoor's wife and she was found dead in her suite at a five star hotel in south Delhi on the night of January 17, 2014.On Wednesday, the Delhi Police received the report and send it to the concerned officials and departments for further course of investigation. In an electronic communication, the FBI rejected all speculations that she died due to Polonium or any other radioactive substance.

The investigation officers in Delhi are yet to receive the hard copy of the report but they are hopeful that they will get it soon considering the magnitude of the high profile case. Sources said, the FBI report also gave analyse on what could have led to her death.

Investigators had sent the viscera samples to the US after AIIMS doctors had said that Indian labs lacked facility to identify the poison which caused her death. In March, 2015, Delhi Police has received a report from Directorate of Forensic Science (DFS) in Gandhinagar which was asked to check the contents of Sunanda's laptops and mobile phones to ascertain whether anything was purposely deleted or destroyed from her gadgets or not.

There are allegations that Pushkar apparently had a heated argument with a Pakistani actress on microblogging website Twitter over her alleged affair with Tharoor. Tharoor was also questioned many times by the investigators but the sleuths are still clueless on how she died.
