Pay parity for men and women is a raging issue across the world. In India, men still get paid much more than women for doing the same work. However, according to a survey by monster.com, this gap is reducing albeit slowly.

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Telecom Secretary Aruna Sundararajan discussed women equality.

Both the government and the IAS, have many more women than you see in many other professions. I think it is a less discriminatory environment and we are fortunate to have that, she said.
