CBI searches for Nupur Talwar

The CBI today carried out searches at the Hauz Khas residence of the Talwar couple looking for Nupur against whom a non-bailable warrant was issued by the special court in Ghaziabad.

The searches were carried out by a team of officials wearing blue jackets with bold CBI labels at the Talwars' Azad Apartments residence.

Special Judge Preeti Singh issued the non-bailable warrant against Nupur who failed to appear before the court despite directives and fixed April 18 as the next date of hearing.

The order came on the application moved by the CBI seeking issuance of a warrant against Nupur, who was not appearing before the court despite directions.

Dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar's only daughter 14-year-old Aarushi was found dead at the family's Noida residence on the night intervening May 15 and 16, 2008.

The next day, the body of their servant Hemraj was also found on the terrace of the house.
