Mittal given addl charge of Disinvestment Department

Secretary in the Department of Financial Services D K Mittal has been given additional charge of the Disinvestment Department.

Secretary in the Department of Financial Services DK Mittal has been given additional charge of the Disinvestment Department. "DK Mittal, Secretary, Department of Financial Services will hold additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Disinvestment for a period of two months with effect from December 1, 2012 or till the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post, whichever is earlier," an official statement said.

The current secretary in the Disinvestment department Mohammad Haleem Khan retired on November 30. Mittal, a 1977 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, was appointed the Secretary in the Department of Financial Services in August last year. Prior to that he was Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs from February 2011. Mittal was additional secretary in the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, prior to becoming corporate affairs secretary.
