The police custody of former Rajasthan water resources minister Mahipal Maderna and his rival Malkhan Singh's brother Parasram Bishnoi, arrested in connection with the Bhanwari Devi case, has been extended till December 12.

The custody of Bhanwari Devi's husband Amar Chand, who was arrested on Thursday, was extended till December 14.

Amar Chand was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for not cooperating in the investigations and changing his statements.

He had earlier alleged that Bhanwari was abducted at the behest of Maderna.

A CD had allegedly shown Maderna in compromising position with the 36-year-old nurse, following which she went missing from Bilara on September 1.
