Ahmedabad man stood in line for 17 hours to buy first iPhone 15 in Mumbai

Excitement among Apple enthusiasts reached fever pitch as the iPhone 15 series went on sale in India today. The country’s two Apple stores – one in Mumbai and the other in Delhi – saw a huge rush of customers this morning.

News agency ANI spoke to one person who has been standing in line since yesterday to be the first one to enter the store and buy the all new iPhone 15. The man said he travelled especially from Ahmedabad to Mumbai to buy the first iPhone at India’s first Apple store in BKC Mumbai.

“I have been here since yesterday 3 pm. I have stood in line for 17 hours,” the man told ANI. “I’m here to buy the first iPhone from India’s first Apple store.”

He added that he has booked an iPhone 15 Pro Max model in white titanium – the 256 GB model – along with the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and new AirPods. Asked to comment on Apple as a brand, he smiled and said: “Best hai.”

Meanwhile in the national capital of Delhi, a customer named Rahul was the first to buy an iPhone 15 from the company’s Saket store.

“It was a great experience. I was in the queue since 4 am and then purchased the phone. I have always had top phones with me. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and an iPhone 14 Pro Max. After the 15 series was announced, I wanted to get the iPhone 15 Pro Max - that too before everyone else,” he told news agency ANI.

The Apple iPhone 15 series went on pre-order in India on September 15.
