In a separate post, Sini Shetty said her saree was designed by Jayanti Reddy.

"Tracing back thousands of years in Indian history, the saree symbolizes the rich history of our culture and the deep-rooted traditions that weave the fabric of our identity," she wrote. "This timeless attire embodies grace, dignity, and the essence of femininity. Stepping into this legacy, I am thrilled to drape myself in this Banarasi Silk Saree by Jayanti Reddy. It captures the old-world charm and understated elegance, championing indigenous fabrics that are naturally dyed and celebrating the art of handwoven textiles. Adorned with intricate hand embroidery, the craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail elevate the designs, making a classical and deeply personal fashion statement."

Shetty added that the saree made her feel connected to the roots of her heritage- as she stepped forward in a world where "tradition meets contemporary elegance".

Prior to the opening ceremony, Shetty told news agency ANI that she felt a deep sense of honor in representing India on such a prestigious platform. She emphasised that her role extends beyond herself, touching the lives and sentiments of 1.4 billion people. “I’m not just representing myself; I’m representing 1.4 billion people, and that’s an immense responsibility because it encompasses showcasing Indian culture, our diverse traditions, and the sentiments of each individual in this nation,” she said.
