In a separate event, Rapido itself acknowledged a driver for his efforts during adverse weather in Gurugram on September 1.

Two Rapido drivers drew widespread appreciation after separate incidents involving their passengers were shared online. One case was highlighted by a woman who said she had returned late from Garba celebrations and found herself unable to enter her flat, while another involved a driver in Gurugram who ensured a safe journey despite severe flooding.

In the first account, a woman uploaded a video on Instagram describing what happened when she realised she had forgotten her keys and her flatmate was away. The clip, later reposted by the page sarcasmic_troll, attracted significant attention, though Moneycontrol.com could not independently verify the authenticity of the incident.

In the video, she explained: “Guys, listen, I just got back from Garba night and realised I don’t have the keys to my flat. My flatmate is out, so I’ve been waiting for her.”

Commenting on the gesture, she added: “And that is just so sweet. Like, humanity is still there.”

In a separate event, Rapido itself acknowledged a driver for his efforts during adverse weather in Gurugram on September 1, when heavy rainfall caused extensive waterlogging and long traffic jams. The passenger, identified as Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj, shared a video showing the state of the streets and praised her driver, Suraj Maurya.

She wrote that despite being caught in traffic for hours, he ensured that she reached home safely. Calling him “an absolute gem”, she commended his patience and professionalism for not once complaining during the six-hour journey through waterlogged routes.

Rapido later rewarded Maurya for his conduct, referring to him as a “hero” for the assistance he provided under difficult conditions.
