India-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA)

India signed the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with Japan, which has come into effect from 1 August 2011. The India-Japan CEPA has brought about many changes in the customs tariff rates for items to be traded in both the countries.

This Tax Alert summarizes the recently introduced customs duty concessions on specified goods imported from Japan, subsequent to signing of the CEPA.
