Yahoo Mail app for Android is now available in seven Indian languages including Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Marathi, the company said.

"Indian users whose language setting on their phone is set to one of the seven Indian regional languages...will automatically experience Yahoo Mail in their preferred language," a company statement said.

Yahoo Mail app on Android has also added new features that are fully compatible with the latest Android Nougat, thus cutting out extra steps and making multitasking easier, the statement added.

These include 'multi-window view', a new feature that allows users to use Yahoo Mail side-by-side with other apps, and 'Quick Actions', which enables users to take more action, straight from their home screen.

For instance, users can directly reply to a message right from a notification, without having to open the app, it added.
