A new leak has given us a look at the prototype for Apple's upcoming high-end variants for the iPhone 16 - the Pro and Pro Max.
According to MacRumors, who created mockups based on Apple's internal designs, it looks like Apple's next generation variants will feature larger displays and a capacitive Capture button.

Both the iPhone 16 (codename Diablo), and iPhone 16 Pro Max (codename Lightning), will feature display sizes measuring 6.3-inches and 6.9-inches, which is up from the 6.1-inches and 6.7-inches present in the iPhone 15 Pro line-up.
According to multiple sources, this could be because of the new telephoto camera module that the Pro models are expected to have. Last year, only the iPhone 15 Pro Max had the telephoto lens but this year thanks to increased real estate, we expect to see telephoto lenses on both the Pro models.

While the design has more or less remained unchanged from the previous generation, the company has experimented with at least four different button configurations during development. The final design will likely have a button placement similar to the iPhone 15 Pro but with an added button.
The new Capture button (codename Nova) is expected to be capacitive with force-sensor functionality. According to reports from Bloomberg, this button will be exclusively used for recording video.
