JBL has launched a new range of what it calls ‘eco-friendly’ speakers. The range includes two massive Party boxes – the JBL PartyBox Club 120 and the PartyBox Stage 320. The new line-up also includes two compact speakers – JBL Go 3 Eco and the JBL Clip 4 Eco – that are both ultra-portable. JBL’s replaceable battery option sets these speakers apart and adds to their eco-friendly appeal.
The JBL Clip 4 Eco has our attention with its compact and convenient form factor. We take you through the highlights:
Clip and play: a fully integrated carabiner is the highlight of the design. This portable speaker hooks up without a fuss to bags, belts or buckles, making the perfect outdoor companion. It weighs just 240 gm, making it easy to move around. The unique oval shape adds to its compact appeal; it’s slim enough to slip into your slimmest backpacks.
Rugged design: the Clip 4 Eco is IP67 certified. It’s waterproof and dustproof, just what you need at the pool deck, and ready for all your adventures. Harman Audio claims: "With a redesigned carabiner that's integrated into the speaker itself for extra protection, (you can) take your JBL Clip 4 Eco anywhere and everywhere. Just clip on a belt, strap, or buckle..."
It’s made from up to 90 percent post-consumer recycled plastic and wrapped in 100 percent recycled fabric on the speaker grille - therefore the word Eco in the name.
The speaker comes in a bright palette with colourful fabrics. The portable speaker also comes in sustainable packaging made from FSC - certified paper printed with soy ink.
Packs a punch: you get the trademark JBL Original Pro sound. The Clip 4 Eco delivers rich audio and punchy bass. It’s powered by a 40mm driver with a 5W (RMS) output and a frequency response of 100 Hz-20 kHz.
Syncs up without a fuss: the speaker wirelessly streams music from your phone, tablet, or any other Bluetooth-enabled device.
Dependable battery: JBL claims a battery life of 10 hours for Clip 4. There’s a 1050 mAh battery under the hood. JBL pegs the charging time at up to 3 hours.
