SsangYong has unveiled its XLV (eXciting smart Lifestyle Vehicle) concept at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. This car is based on the XIV-1 concept which was showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011. The company says that this SUV with a flexible 2+2+2+1 seating arrangement gives the practicality of an MPV but with the rugged, robust attributes of a 4x4. The XLV is expected to play an important role in the future growth plans of SsangYong.

This design theme is in tune with SsangYongs Nature born - 3 Motion design philosophy. This is a B-segment SUVThe interior gets 2+2+2+1 seating and is a standout feature of this car. The middle seat on the second row can be slid back to the third row making the last row get three seats whenever needed, increasing the practicality and versatility of this car. The design of the console derives its outline from the shape of a birds wing in flight, the orange red trim line has honeycomb graphics illumination taking cues from fireflies in the dark. This design and aesthetic detailing gives an overall relaxed and soothing environment inside the cabin.
The interiors look youthfulThe concept also has an interactive communication system called 3S-Cube which has Smart link, Safe way and Special sense systems working in tandem to augment the drivers convenience and safety.
The interior gets 2+2+2+1 seating and is a standout feature of this carThis is a hybrid and power is derived from 1.6litre diesel engine and 10kW electric motor taking power from a 500Wh lithium ion battery. Company says that emissions will be very less, with the manual giving 98g/km and the automatic likely to be within 109g/km.
