General Motors has launched the Aveo U-VA replacement, the Sail hatchback in India. It is priced at Rs 4.4 lakh for the base petrol and Rs 5.87 lakh for the diesel, ex-Delhi. Powering the hatchback are two engine options - 1.2l SMARTECH 86PS petrol and 78PS 1.3l turbodiesel. As of now, there are no plans of a CNG-kit fitted Sail U-VA. The petrol motor claims to deliver an ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 18.2kmpl while the diesel is pegged at 22.1kmpl. GM is offering a first in-class 5 year/150,000kms warranty on the powertrains.
