iPhone and iPad users who wish to connect to Windows devices can now directly download Apple iTunes from Microsoft Store. Apple has finally launched a native version of the software on the Windows store after announcing to do so in May 2017.
By launching the native app, both Microsoft and Apple have ended all the compatibility issues. The iTunes app is the same version that users can download as a standalone app.
Incidentally, iTunes has been one of the most searched apps on the Microsoft Store. Apple users can now manage their devices, stream Apple Music and watch movies on all connected devices. Whereas, Windows 10 S users who were not able to access iTunes earlier, can now do so without any hassle.
To the uninitiated, devices running on Windows 10 S, support apps that are only downloaded from the Microsoft Store. Launched last year, the OS is a streamlined version of Windows 10, which focuses mainly on speed and security and is targeted at low-cost, low-powered devices which are mostly used by students. The OS is pretty similar to Apple’s iPad in the classroom.
The app can be downloaded directly free of cost from the store at present and the approximate size is 476.7 MB.
