Following months of beta testing, Adobe has announced that their Generative AI, Firefly, is now available to everyone on Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Express, and Adobe Experience Cloud. The company is launching a standalone Firefly web app that will allow users to try out its features for free, without needing a subscription to their Creative suite of products.

The free accounts will be limited to 25 monthly generative credits, which Adobe describes as, "tokens that enable customers to turn a text-based prompt into image and vector creations in Photoshop, Illustrator, Express, and the Firefly web application". Basically, think of it as having 25 text-prompts per month to generate content.
There is also a paid subscription plan that costs $4.99 (about Rs. 400) per month and will give users access to 100 generative credits monthly, along with access to Adobe fonts and no watermarks on images generated with Firefly.
Adobe said that users generated over "1 billion assets", during the beta phase and existing Creative Cloud memberships will be updated with two new apps - Adobe Express Premium and Adobe Firefly.

Users on the free versions of Creative Cloud and Adobe Express will also receive generative credits. If you manage to exhaust your allocated credits before the month is over, you will need to make an additional payment to keep using Firefly.
Adobe has also increased the prices for Creative Cloud subscriptions, "to reflect the increased value that we have already delivered to our members and given new costs associated with generative AI content creation".
Creative Cloud subscriptions for all of Adobe's apps starts at Rs. 6,346 monthly.
