Apple released an update to their iOS for developers – the iOS 5 beta 6, a couple of days ago. The jailbreak community, as usual, has wasted no time and well known iOS hacker iH8sn0w has already updated Sn0wbreeze, which is capable of jailbreaking the latest iOS build. According to a report by Engadget, those with Apple developer IDs can now use Sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 6 unlock tool to crack the sixth beta of iOS 5 wide open.

The report also mentions that this update is available for all iOS devices bar the iPad 2. Another report states that this jailbreak is a tethered release and if one is waiting for an untethered release of the jailbreak, they would have to wait until the official iOS 5 is available for download to the masses.

Sn0wbreeze, a well known tool to create custom IPSWs to restore firmware is similar to Pwnage Tool, and has been developed by iH8sn0w. The latest version still removes UDID developer check and beta timer, as well as preserves the baseband.
