Only recently did we report that popular PC manufacturer, Hewlett-Packard (HP) was seriously contemplating on winding up its PC business. While all speculations about the uncertainity of the future of HP PCs can be safely put to rest, a certain update has popped up pointing at yet another development. According to a report in the Guardian, HP may well be on its way to axing its webOS, which featured on its TouchPad tablet and smartphones. HP had acquired the webOS business in April, last year for $1.2 billion for Palm. The report further added that the closure of HP's webOS side of things would mean that as many as 500 employees are going to either be given other roles within the company or will be shown the door.
