Apple seeks ban on 15 Samsung products in Germany

Samsung's popular smartphones, including the hot seller, Galaxy S II and Galaxy Plus will face a ban, if Apple has its way.

In a confirmation, given to the German news agency, dpa, a spokesperson from Düsseldorf Regional Court stated that Cupertino-based, Apple has acquired two design lawsuits pertaining to smartphone-related designs in Germany, which it plans to use against Samsung. The two design lawsuits put together have brought almost 15 Samsung products under the purview of the ban. The first design lawsuit targets Samsung's popular Galaxy S II smartphone, among 9 others, while the second design lawsuit targets 5 tablet computers of the South Korean company; taking the total number to a worrying 15. The hearings for both these cases will begin in late August and late September, this year, respectively, confirmed the German news agency.
