All the eye candy and DX11 goodness in video games doesn't come easy. What you need is a lot of processing muscle and all the bandwidth your gaming rig can muster to feed the monster that is the framebuffer. Fast and overclockable RAM modules are therefore always welcome for gamers. It's a good thing then that flash-based storage and memory manufacturer Transcend has added two new RAM modules to its aXeRam Overclocking Memory Module range. According to the RAM maker, the new 8GB aXeRam DDR3-2400 and DDR3-2133 memory kits combine high capacity, clock speeds and low voltage, which sounds great for overclockers. The modules are expected to hit the street in a month; however, pricing details haven't been revealed at the moment. The modules support the latest Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) version 1.3, which is an easy and hassle-free means to get guaranteed certified overclock values from supported memory modules. This feature allows both novice and advanced users to overclock their aXeRam DDR3 modules on Intel Core processors.
