SpiceJet on Sunday said that a senior Army officer, who was to board a flight to Delhi, assaulted four airline ground staffers at the Srinagar airport on July 26 and one of them suffered a spinal fracture.
The enhanced surveillance by DGCA will entail increased spot checks and night surveillance to ensure safety of the airline's operations.
SpiceJet has been struggling financially since the past few quarters due to legal disputes involving outstanding debts to lenders, aircraft and engine lessors among other issues.
The agreement is a strategic intervention with an attempt for both companies to expand their services in the Indian market and will commence on August 1, 2023.
