Shankara Building Projects posted its second set of earnings after listing in April with a good show and retail business has been the key positive driver. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Sukumar Srinivas, MD, Shankara Buildpro spoke about the results and his outlook for the company.
"The company should close the year, FY17, with a topline of around Rs 2,300 crore, up about 15 percent from last year’s Rs 2,000 crore", ukumar Srinivas, MD of Shankara Buildpro told CNBC-TV18.
The companies plan to utilise the net proceeds for business expansion, repayment of loans and general corporate purposes. The equity shares of the companies are proposed to be listed on BSE and NSE.
According to market sources, the company has filed the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the market watchdog Sebi today and proposes to mop up between Rs 400 crore and Rs 450 crore through the sale, which will involve promoters and investors diluting their stakes to the tune of 35 percent.
