In Brazil, growth was aided by the performance of top brands, new launches and growth in the generic segment.
The second quarter result of Infosys came in line with the market expectations. The company reported consolidated net profit of Rs 1,906 crore, up 10% from a year ago, while revenue was up around 17% to Rs 8,099 crore.
Infosys is expected to announce its second quarter result on October 12. Most experts feel that the recent fall in the rupee will help boost Q2 earnings of the Indian IT companies like Infosys. Ashwin Mehta from Nomura India too feels that Infosys is likely to benefit most from the rupee's depreciation.
