Stock exchanges BSE and NSE have decided to shift a total 50 companies to the restricted trading segment from May 10 to ensure safety of investors in the capital markets.
BSE and the NSE identified several scrips to shift them to restricted trading category from July 5 for ensuring market safety. BSE wil lbe shifting 35 secutiries to 'T' group while NSE will transfer nine stocks.
Foreign fund house Morgan Stanley Asia (Singapore) today picked up over 67 lakh shares of the pipe maker Jindal Saw for about Rs 85 crore.
Market regulator Sebi today said the stock exchanges may consider shifting securities of as many as nine companies to normal trading category from restricted segment.
After a surveillance review, the two bourses, BSE and NSE, today said they have identified various scrips, including NDTV and Zee News, for restricted trading category.
