"We can operate in the range of 30-40 percent growth, I can say that with reasonable confidence, given huge thrust on energy transition and climate action," said Pramod Chaudhari, Chairman, Praj Industries.
Praj Industries has launched a 'Green Fund' that will help it take up projects to make second-generation ethanol projects -- a move it says will help the government achieve its target of mixing automotive fuels with 10 percent ethanol by 2022.
Going forward, if ethanol blending in petroleum is raised to 10 percent, it will also help the Indian government to go to its planned 20 percent by 2017.
Pramod Chaudhari, Chairman of Praj Industries expects a demand push for ethanol producing machineries after the implementation becomes effective. According to him, ethanol generated from food grains are also expected to get a fillip.
The company is focusing on second generation biofuel as global demand rises.
