"Reliance Strategic Business Ventures Ltd (RSBVL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of RIL, has acquired equity shares of NowFloats Technologies for a cash consideration of Rs 141,63,78,822. The said investment represents 85 percent holding in the equity share capital of NowFloats," RIL said in a BSE filing.
"NowFloats has closed series B funding of USD 10 million via Iron Pillar and IIFL (Seed Ventures Fund I and Cash Opportunities Fund), along with Blume Ventures and Omidyar Network, who had invested in series A as well," it said in a statement.
Along with the SMBs' fast evolving technology journey, a strong amalgamation of both digital and traditional tools to do business as an emerging trend is also taking shape.
As per the report, India has nearly 51 million such businesses, of which 12 million have a high degree of technology influence and are looking to adopt newer IT products.
Ronak Samantray of NowFloats was a finalist of the Tel Aviv competition in Israel.
