In a written reply to a question from BJD member Prasanta Behera, the minister said a total of 60,426.943 acres of land in the name of Mahaprabhu Jagannath Bije, Srikhetra Puri, have been identified in 24 of the 30 districts of Odisha.
The temple employees doused the blaze with the help of fire services personnel, officials said.
The nine-day rath yatra of Lord Jagannath begins on July 1 in Odisha's Puri. Similar yatras will be taken out in other parts of the country. Odisha police have made top-notch security arrangements keeping the crowd at the festival in mind.
The Supreme Court has directed the Odisha government to maintain a record of persons allowed in Rath Yatra with details of medical conditions.
The Rath Yatra in Puri coincides with the Gujarat Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra.
The top court had said it is of prime importance that all devotees have hassle-free visits and the offerings made by them are not misused.
State-run BSNL will invest Rs 830 crore for improving services in Odisha and half of that amount will be spent on the broadband network in the current financial year, Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said on Thursday.
