The company, a subsidiary of Whirlpool Cooperation, is eyeing a 25 per cent market share by 2020 on the back of new product offerings such as water purifier, air purifier, dishwasher and other small domestic appliance.
"The worst of demonetisation that we saw was in Q4 of last year. That is behind us. Consumer sentiment is impacted and hopefully in the next three-six months demand will begin to come back", Kapil Agarwal, Vice President of Whirlpool Corporation told CNBC-TV18.
The digital distribution space was impacted in the aftermath of demonetisation and the worst hit was UFO Moviez. Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Kapil Agarwal, Joint Managing Director of the company said that amongst the the three revenue streams i.e., films, exhibitors and advertising, cash ban took a toll on the advertising stream.
UFO Moviez is going to concentrate on volume-led growth in advertisements and not price. Pricing is only picking up around 4-5 percent annually.
