Accusing the BJP of corruption, Thackeray said, after winning the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) polls, his party will come out with a White Paper on the alleged irregularities in the civic body.
Ahead of the the Lok Sabha polls, the two factions are anticipated to take aim at each other in their respective rallies. These factions have been in conflict as they vie for the title of the 'true inheritor' of the legacy of the late party supremo, Bal Thackeray.
Jaidev Thackeray's estranged wife Smita was also present at the MMRDA ground in BKC, the rally site in suburban Mumbai, along with Nihar, the son of late Bindumadhav Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray's eldest brother.
The plea said the party was constrained to approach the HC as the Mumbai civic body was yet to take a decision on their applications submitted in August seeking permission for the rally.
