Copper futures hit 8-day high on EU hopes, dollar weakness

The Indian rupee gained another 12 paise to Rs 45.18 per US dollar in early trade on Friday on sustained selling of dollars by banks and exporters amid dollar weakness overseas and firm domestic equity markets.
Spot silver rebounded as much as 2.3% and gold edged up on Thursday after losses in the previous session, supported by light buying in Asia, while a firm dollar weighed on market sentiment.
