Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, will visit the legendary Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar on Saturday as part of his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Jharkhand.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 12 inaugurated the 657-acre Deoghar airport, constructed at a cost of Rs 401 crore. During the day, PM Modi also laid foundation stones for various development initiatives and inaugurated multiple projects.
The Deoghar airport is the second airport in Jharkhand and was constructed at an estimated cost of around Rs 400 crore. The airport's terminal building has the capacity to handle over five lakh passengers annually.
Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple road projects worth over Rs 10,000 crore and various energy infrastructure projects of around Rs 3,000 crore for the region.

The driver training centre will be run by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The initiative is backed by Uber which has committed to providing economic opportunities to the graduating drivers as part of its flagship initiative, UberShaan.
Nine persons, including eight women, were today killed and at least 30 others injured when a stampede broke out during a function at an ashram in Deogarh district, 324 km from here.
