Union Home Minister Amit Shah firmly rejected opposition claims questioning the stability of the NDA government, asserting that the alliance will not only complete its current term but will also secure power in 2029.
Addressing a gathering during the inauguration of the 24x7 Manimajra water supply project, Shah emphasized the strength of the NDA and its leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “I want to assure you that regardless of the opposition’s claims, the NDA will return to power in 2029, with Modi ji at the helm,” Shah stated.
Shah criticised the opposition for their belief that recent electoral successes signified a power shift, highlighting that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP alone secured more seats than the entire Congress-led alliance combined. “The opposition seems unaware that the BJP’s seat count surpasses the total seats of their entire alliance,” he remarked.
Responding to ongoing doubts about the government’s stability, Shah reassured his audience that the NDA government would not only complete its five-year term but also continue into the next term. “Prepare to be in the opposition and learn to function effectively there,” Shah advised, addressing opposition parties directly.
