QS World University Rankings 2024: Top 10 universities in the world
University of California (UCB) is the only institution to have earned a perfect score of 100 in the new ‘Sustainability’ indicator – followed closely by the University of Pennsylvania (ranked 12th), University of Toronto (ranked 21st) and University of British Columbia (ranked 34th) – all with scores of 99.9.
In order to reflect the shifting priorities of students and the evolving missions of top universities today, the QS World University Rankings 2024 introduced three new indicators: a dedication to sustainability; an even stronger focus on assisting graduate employability; and increased international research collaboration to address the biggest global challenges. Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has been ranked 1st in India and has moved significantly up from 177th rank last year to 149th rank this year in the world rankings, with an overall score of 51.7 out of 100.
