As the assembly elections are set to begin soon next month, the 5 states-Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram will vote on different days from November 7 to 30, with votes for the five states being counted on December 3.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan files his nomination papers from Budhni Assembly for the upcoming State Assembly elections. The Telangana Jana Samithi stated on Monday that it will back the Congress party in the next assembly elections, strengthening the Congress' struggle against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). The Jana Samithi party made this decision after meeting with Telangana Pradesh Congress chairman Revanth Reddy on Monday. Candidates for the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly began filing nomination papers today. The deadline for submitting nominations is November 6 and nominations would be examined on November 7. Candidates have until November 9 to withdraw their nominations. So far, the BJP has chosen 124 names while the Congress has finalised 105. Other smaller parties, such as the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party, have issued 10 candidates, the Aam Aadmi Party has released 60 candidates, and the Bahujan Samaj Party has released 56 candidates.
