The News18 Mega Exit Poll has predicted a win for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. According to the News18 exit poll numbers, the BJP's seat share will increase from 8 in 2019 to 13-15 in 2024.

As a result, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) will win in significantly lesser number of seats at 6 to 8, the News18 Mega Exit Poll predicted.

Odisha went to polls in four phases from May 13 to June 1 to elect 21 members. The primary contenders in this electoral battle are the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the INDIA bloc.

Simultaneously, the Legislative Assembly elections 2024 were also underway in Odisha for 147 assembly seats. Naveen Patnaik of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is seeking to return for his sixth term as the chief minister.

Odisha is divided into 21 Lok Sabha constituencies, namely Kalahandi, Nabarangapur, Berhampur, Koraput, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Aska, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Puri, Bhubaneswar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, and Jagatsinghpur.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which also took place in four phases, the BJP secured 8 out of the 21 seats. The Naveen Patnaik-led Biju Janata Dal (BJD) emerged as the leading party, winning 12 seats, while the Congress had to settle with just one seat.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP has achieved back-to-back victories in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
