Suspicious bag found outside Delhi BJP office, cops on high alert

An unattended, suspicious bag was found outside the Delhi BJP office on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg on Friday, ANI reported. According to the police, the area was cordoned off, and the bag was confiscated for further investigation.

As per the eyewitness, the bag was lying on the roadside near the party office, which led to immediate intervention by the authorities.

The unattended bag had a police sticker on it, which raised suspicion that it might have been left behind accidentally.

After the police conducted an investigation, it was determined that the bag was left outside the office premises by a media professional.

An India Today report quoting a senior police official assured the public that the situation was under control and urged people not to panic. "There is no reason for alarm. All necessary precautions are being taken," the official said.

However, security measures outside the BJP office have been tightened to ensure safety. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the bag's origins and rule out any potential threat.
