Late industrialist Sunjay Kapur's third wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur, has moved the Delhi High Court seeking a confidentiality agreement signed by his mother, Rani Kapur, and the children of ex-wife Karisma Kapoor before disclosing the assets.
In her plea, Priya Sachdev Kapur says that the non-disclosure agreement is needed to ensure 'cybersecurity' and address other security concerns. The development comes after the last hearing, where the High Court had ordered Priya to disclose the personal assets of Sunjay Kapur.
Replying to the court, Priya Sachdev Kapur has said that she is ready to disclose the details of the assets in a sealed cover to the court, provided Karisma's kids-Samaira and Kiaan-and Rani Kapur sign the NDA. Karisma Kapoor had married Sunjay in 2003, and they got divorced in 2014.
The matter will be taken up by the court today at 10 a.m.
Sunjay Kapur, chairman of Sona Comstar, died from a reported bee sting during a polo match in the UK. Priya Sachdev Kapur was recently seen in public for the first time when she attended an event of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA).
She was appointed as a member of the executive committee of ACMA. It should be noted that Sunjay Kapur was also the president of ACMA. Hence, her induction into the executive committee is being seen as an important step to reinforce her position.
