NIA investigates links between the Pulwama doctor and the Faridabad terror module.

Hours after an undated video of the Delhi suicide bomber, Dr Umar Mohammad alias Umar-un-Umar un Nabi appeared that saw him talking about the act of suicide bombing, in another significant revelation, NDTV quoting sources has said that the clip was on a phone Nabi had given to his brother at their house in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama earlier this month.

Ever since the video of Nabi terming suicide bombings "martyrdom operations" emerged on earlier this morning, speculation has been rife about when it was shot and the sequence of events leading up to the bombing, that claimed 13 lives and injured over 20 individuals.

The same publication, citing sources said that a week before Nabi carried out the attack on November 10, he had visited the family's house in Pulwama. Before he left for Faridabad, where he worked at the Al Falah University as an assistant professor in the General Medicine department, Nabi handed over one of his two phones to his brother.

The video emerged publicly on Tuesday and shows Nabi justifying suicide bombings, despite taking one's life being forbidden in Islam, and calling them acts of "martyrdom".

"One of the very misunderstood concepts is the concept of what has been labelled as suicide bombing. It is a martyrdom operation... known in Islam. Now, there are multiple contradictions; there are multiple arguments that have been brought against it," he says. Nabi adds  no one can predict when or where they will die, and what is destined will happen. "Don't fear death," he adds chillingly.

In another related development, earlier today,  Jasir Bilal Wani, NIA’s second arrest in the Red Fort bomb blast, was sent to a 10-day NIA custody. Jasir Bilal alias Danish, from Qazigund, was arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with his uncle, for questioning on Saturday.  This was in connection with the Faridabad terror module bust and the Red Fort blast on November 10 that claimed the lives of over 10 people.

The Wanis are neighbours of terror module members and doctor brothers Adil Rather and Muzaffar Rather. While Muzaffar is believed to still be absconding, police arrested Adil from Uttar Pradesh earlier this month. Adil was arrested in connection with his role in the pasting of the Jaish-e-Mohammad posters warning in Nowgam.
