Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Raul Gandhi will join party leader Kanhaiya Kumar's "palayan roko, naukri do" (stop migration, provide jobs) march in Bihar's Begusarai on Monday.
Raul took to his social media handles to inform that he will be joining the march on April 7 and also asked participants to come wearing a white t-shirt and raise their voices for their rights.
"Young friends of Bihar, I am coming to Begusarai on April 7 to walk shoulder to shoulder with you in the ‘palayan roko, naukri do’ march. The aim is to make the whole world see the spirit of the youth of Bihar, their struggle and their suffering," he said.
"You too come wearing a white t-shirt, ask questions and raise your voice to put pressure on the government for your rights and to remove it (from power)," Gandhi said and also shared a link to join the 'White T-Shirt Movement'.
"Come, let us together make Bihar a state of opportunities," he said.
As per his itinerary, Rahul Gandhi will arrive at Patna Airport at 9:50 AM and depart for Begusarai at 10:10 a.m. After participating in the padyatra, he will return to Patna by 1:00 p.m.
Upon his return, he will attend the Constitution Protection Conference at the Sri Krishna Memorial Hall. Following the conference, Gandhi will meet Congress leaders at Sadakat Ashram, before heading back to Delhi in the evening, with his departure scheduled for 4:10 p.m.
Rahul's visit to Bihar comes ahead of the Assembly elections scheduled in the state for September-October this year. The Congress is part of the Mahagathbandhan comprising the Rashtriya Janata Dal and Left parties in Bihar.
