On PM Modi's address, Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit says, "Operation Sindoor was successful and that's a good thing... We were expecting that after showing the place to Pakistan in 2-3 days, the issue of ceasefire would be discussed. The PM said nothing about it. Addressing the nation for the first time since Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 12  made it clear that India will not hold talks with Pakistan on Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) until the neighbouring country takes action on terrorists hiding in its country.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on May 13 reiterated his demand for a special session of Parliament to discuss Operation Sindoor and India's current situation with Pakistan.

Following the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Jamnagar Airport reopened for civilian flight operations.

D K Singh, Airport Director says, "...All the airports have opened for civil aircraft operations, including Jamnagar airport. I am recommending all the passengers to be in touch with the respective airlines and their websites."

J&K People's Conference chief Sajad Lone says, "This is a border area...80 per cent of people living in border areas have vacated their homes and moved to safer places...there is a lot of fear here...the state government should provide financial help to the affected people..."

BrahMos another proof of continuity in governance that simply can't be denied: Jairam Ramesh

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on May 12 heaped praise on India's BrahMos missile, which he termed as an "outstanding example of Indo-Russian collaboration". He further said it was a proof of continuity in governance that can't be denied.

"BrahMos is very much in the news these days. It is named after the Brahmaputra and the Moskva rivers and is an outstanding example of Indo-Russian collaboration. It is also yet another remarkable proof of continuity in governance which simply cannot be denied or erased - despite it being the regular habit of today's ruling establishment in New Delhi," the Congress leader said in a post on X.

Amid rising India-Pakistan tensions post-Operation Sindoor, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde held a high-level meeting in Mumbai to strengthen civil-military coordination. The focus was on enhancing intelligence sharing, cybersecurity, and securing key infrastructure. “Our Armed Forces executed ‘Operation Sindoor’ with precision and effectiveness,” Shinde said. “It was an unprecedented effort and I salute their commendable action.” The Chief Minister stressed the importance of integrating cyber security systems with intelligence agencies to safeguard sensitive locations. He also instructed officials to establish a dedicated mechanism to enhance cooperation between the State Government and Defence agencies. The meeting concluded with a consensus to tighten security protocols and ensure uninterrupted coordination between civilian and military authorities.

The BJP in Tripura praised the Indian Armed Forces for the success of Operation Sindoor and credited strong political leadership for the achievement. State BJP chief spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty said the operation resulted in the elimination of over 100 terrorists and the destruction of nine terror camps. He also claimed that around 20 countries expressed support for India’s counter-terror campaign, thanking Prime Minister Modi and the armed forces for their decisive action.

A day after the India-Pakistan ceasefire, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised the Indian armed forces for their precise strikes during Operation Sindoor, stating they sent a strong message to Pakistan’s military leadership in Rawalpindi. Speaking at the inauguration of a BrahMos missile facility, Singh said the operation was a firm political and strategic response to the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed several Indian lives.

NCP (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar criticized external commentary on India’s internal matters, referring specifically to recent remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump. Pawar said, “We have never permitted any third party to intervene in our domestic affairs. However, this is the first instance where the US President has commented on an internal issue of ours.”

The BJP in Kerala on Monday criticized the Congress party and its leader Rahul Gandhi for calling for a special session of Parliament to discuss the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor, and related developments. "Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are the ones who skip Parliament when the House is in session and disappear when important legislation is being passed," he said in a statement. He also remarked that it is up to the Union government to decide whether a special session of Parliament is necessary in connection with the India-Pakistan conflict. Chandrasekhar said India has dealt Pakistan the most severe blow since independence in recent days. Chandrasekhar asserted that India has delivered its most powerful response to Pakistan since independence, highlighting the precision of recent retaliatory strikes and the successful defense against counterattacks.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah responded to the India-Pakistan ceasefire, noting that while both nations have agreed to halt hostilities and DGMOs are meeting, the matter is of serious concern. "An all-party meeting should have been called before the ceasefire. Parliament should have also been held along with it. It’s a very serious matter", said Siddaramaiah

Congress leader and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has questioned the effectiveness of Operation Sindoor, India’s military response to the Pahalgam terror attack. He asked whether the terrorists responsible for the attack had been apprehended and argued that without their capture, the operation’s success remains uncertain. Speaking to media persons, Baghel said, "26 people lost their lives, were those 4 or 5 terrorists caught? If they were not caught, then how can you say that Operation Sindoor was successful? Who is responsible for the lapse?

Earlier, the DGMO and top military commanders held an in-depth briefing during which Air Marshal A.K. Bharti explained that India’s strikes were aimed at terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, but the Pakistani military decided to step in.

Before his address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a meeting with top ministers and military leaders at his residence.

This will be Modi’s first public address on the military operation, although he has previously spoken about the Pahalgam terror attack on three separate occasions.
