Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the valour displayed by the Indian Air Force during Operation Sindoor will be remembered for decades and lauded the force for calling out Pakistan's nuclear bluff through their successful operation.

The Prime Minister's remarks came during his address to IAF personnel during his visit to the Adampur airbase in Punjab earlier on Tuesday with Russia-made S-400 air defence missiles and a MIG-29 clearly visible in the backdrop.

"When our drones destroy the walls of the enemy's fort, when our whizzing missiles reach the target, the enemy hears 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. When we light up the sun even at night, the enemy sees 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. When our armies blow away the threat of nuclear blackmail, then the only thing that resonates from the sky is 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. All of you have made millions of Indians proud, have made every Indian's mother proud, you have created history, and I have come among you this morning to see you," PM Modi said lauding the IAF operation.

As part of Operation Sindoor, the IAF and the Indian Army destroyed nine terror camps, killing over 100 terrorists. This led to a counterstrike by the Pakistan military which attacked several Indian cities and air bases, including the one in Adampur.

The Prime Minister also referred to Pakistan's attack on the Adampur airbase but said Pakistan's nefarious designs failed each time. "Rattled with #OperationSindoor, the enemy tried to attack this air base and several of our other air bases multiple times. They targeted us again and again but the nefarious designs of Pakistan failed each time," he said.

PM Modi further said that India's capable air defence ensured that Pakistan's drones, UAVs, aircraft and missiles failed before us. "I extend heartfelt appreciation to the leadership of all air bases of the country and every air warrior of the Indian Air Force. You have done a really fantastic job," he said amid chants of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' by the IAF personnel.

"Pakistan cannot compete with our new and cutting-edge technology. All our armies have the world’s best technology, which also increases the challenges. You all operated complicated systems very efficiently. It is a skill. You all have proved that you are the best at this game in the world," the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister further said that 'Operation Sindoor' is not just a regular armed forces campaign, but a confluence of India's policy, intent, and decision-making capability. "In the last decade, our forces acquired world's best equipment; we have proven our capabilities in combining technology with tactics," he added.

The Prime Minister also reiterated the three doctrines he underlined in his address to the nation on Monday and said that Operation Sindoor has defined a “new normal” in India’s national security doctrine.

He said that India would give a befitting attack to any provocation, would not tolerate any nuclear blackmail and would not distinguish between terror and its sponsors.
